“Incredible, incredible, incredible.....” Those are the sounds of astonishment by visitors from all over the world as they discover and admire this “narrowest”, skinniest”, “Slender on Pender”, slice of history, in Vancouver, Chinatown, Canada.
A stretch of your arms across the end of the building, and the popular quick snap shot, confirms that the building is just as slim as you are!
At only 4’ 10” wide on the inside, you would think everything between these narrow walls would need to be miniature versions; not so, in fact, everything is full size; yet, due to extremely efficient space design, plus 100 feet of glass frontage, surprisingly, there is no claustrophobia!
Built in 1913 on a bet, this sliver of a building has been the home to Jack Chow Insurance since Expo ’86. Clients love bringing their friends and family here, and there is always room to squeeze everyone in!
